Yes, we are! Plus, every member of our team is a background-checked W-2 employee who has completed Pet First Aid and CPR certification and is carefully onboarded to ensure they meet Rising Sun’s high standards of pet care, safety and professionalism.

We kindly ask that cancellations are made by 4 p.m. on the business day prior to your scheduled visit. Cancellations received after that time are charged at the full visit rate, as your pet care professional has already reserved that time for your pet. Exceptions may be made in cases of severe weather or other emergencies at our discretion.

Absolutely! Rain, shine — and yes, even in New England snow — we’re out caring for our furry friends. The only exception is during severe or hazardous weather conditions when travel and being outside is unsafe for our team or the pets in our care. During the snowiest months of January and February, we do not offer vacation pet sitting services so we can focus on safely caring for our regular dog walking clients.

We understand that pet care doesn't always take a holiday! If you're looking for care over a major holiday, please reach out to us to check our availability. We'll always do our best to accommodate your fur family's needs.Please note that a $20 per visit holiday fee applies throughout the holiday weekend. To allow our team time to celebrate with their own loved ones, we are closed on Christmas Day.
